NGCP: Lower electricity bills to reflect in June
The Freeman
|June 19, 2026
Lower electricity costs are expected to be reflected in consumers’ June 2026 bills as the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) announced a reduction in overall transmission rates, driven by lower transmission wheeling and ancillary services (AS) rates.
In a statement, NGCP said the overall average transmission rate for the May 2026 billing period dropped by 9.33 percent to P1.4492 per kilowatt-hour (kWh), from P1.5983 per kWh recorded in April.
The reduction was attributed to decreases in both transmission wheeling and ancillary services rates.

But lay up to yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither the rust nor moth consumes, and where thieves do not break through nor steal.” (Mt 6,19-20)
