New CPPO director supports Baricuatro's drive vs crimes

Police Col. Christopher Bermudez, Cebu Police Provincial Office (CPPO) acting director, said he is one with Cebu Governor Pamela Baricuatro in declaring an all-out campaign against all forms of criminality in the province.

Baricuatro earlier warned lawbreakers from operating the Cebu as she is serious in the campaign against illegal drugs and other criminalities.

“Very loud and clear naman ng (warning). Hindi tayo papayag na maging sanctuary ng kriminalidad itong Cebu Province,” he said.

Although he is yet to personally meet Baricuatro, Bermudez said he planned to request assistance from the Office of the Governor and other local government units (LGUs) in Cebu in setting up of command centers, get more equipment for communication and mobility such as handheld radios and vehicles that would greatly help in the police response.
