MGEN ensures safe personnel, stable plant operations after typhoon Tino

Mer-alco PowerGen Corporation (MGEN) has assured the public that all its personnel are safe and that its power plants in the Visayas continue to operate steadily following the onslaught of Typhoon Tino (Kalmaegi).

The company also expressed its solidarity with communities in Cebu and Panay, which were among the hardest hit by the typhoon’s strong winds and heavy rains.
“MGEN acknowledges the tireless efforts of local government units, emergency responders, and volunteer groups who have been working to deliver immediate relief and restoration support,” the company said in a statement.
