LTO chief reminds drivers to be calm, avoid road rage

Land Transportation Office (LTO) chief Assistant Secretary Vigor Mendoza has reminded motorists to remain calm and composed on the road to prevent violent incidents, following a recent case of road rage in Antipolo City.
Mendoza emphasized that road rage only leads to trouble, citing an alarming incident in which a sports utility vehicle (SUV) driver was caught on video firing at motorcycle riders after a physical altercation.
"Nakakalungkot ang ganitong pangyayari na hindi na natin binibigyan ng dignidad ang ating mga sarili, na talo pa natin ang mga bata na magsusuntukan agad sa gitna ng kalsada dahil sa bagay na puwede namang pag-pasensyahan," said Asec. Mendoza in a statement yesterday.
