Leuterio calls for investor-focused tourism

Filipino Homes founder Anthony Leuterio is urging the Department of Tourism (DOT) to expand its global promotional efforts, calling for a more strategic, investor-focused campaign that positions the Philippines not only as a tourist haven but also as a destination for long-term investment and residency.

In a statement, Leuterio said the Philippines remains one of Asia's most underrated destinations, with immense untapped potential in both tourism and real estate.

"The country offers world-class attractions, but we're not telling that story loudly or consistently enough on the international stage," he said. "We must shift from attracting just transient visitors to cultivating global investors and long-stay residents."

Leuterio emphasized the critical role of the real estate sector in this shift, highlighting how private developers have transformed various regions into vibrant, livable destinations.

"Real estate companies are building more than infrastructure—they are also showcasing the Philippines as a premier place to live, invest, and visit," he added.
