Go makes first official visit to Cebu after re-election

Re-elected Senator Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go made his first official visit to Cebu on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, following his victory in the May 12 national and local elections where he secured the top spot with over 27 million votes.

Go garnered the highest number of senatorial votes in Cebu, further strengthening his longstanding connection with the province and its residents.

Speaking before 68 families affected by a recent fire in Barangay Labogon, Mandaue City, as well as supporters and local officials, the senator expressed heartfelt gratitude for the overwhelming support he received from Cebuanos.

“Daghang salamat, Cebu! Kining inyong suporta dili gyud nako kalimtan. Ganti-an ko kini sa padayon nga tinuod nga serbisyo para sa katawhan,” Go said.

The senator visited the fire-hit area in Barangay Labogon to assess the extent of the damage. He also checked on the residents and extended aid to the affected families.

Go emphasized to local officials the need for an immediate response to victims’ needs, highlighting the importance of prioritizing their health and safety.
