Go bares Cebu's potential for investment and growth

“PROSPER IN PARADISE”
Special Assistant to the President for Investment and Economic Affairs, Frederick D. Go, highlighted the Philippines' efforts to attract more foreign investment, stressing Cebu's key role in the country's growth.
Speaking at the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry's (CCCI) Business Investment Forum, Go — a seasoned real estate executive and nephew of late industrialist John Gokongwei — delivered a comprehensive update on the Marcos administration's economic strategy.
"Invest in Cebu. Prosper in paradise," Go echoed, referring to CCCI's branding campaign for Cebu as he called on local and international business leaders to seize opportunities in one of the country's most dynamic regional economies.
Before joining the cabinet in 2023, Go served as President and CEO of Robinsons Land Corporation (RLC), where he transformed the firm into a real estate powerhouse with landmark projects across the Philippines. Among them is the Nustar Resort and Casino in Cebu, the forum's venue, which Go called a "symbol of Cebu's ascendance as a world-class investment and tourism destination."
A Cebuano by heritage and a Sacred Heart School alumnus, Go's remarks resonated with the province's business elite, as he detailed national reforms and fiscal indicators that position the Philippines as a compelling destination in Southeast Asia.
