Gilas begins gold medal quest at FIBA Asia Cup

Gilas Pilipinas has no other thing in mind than winning the gold medal as the 31st FIBA Asia Cup gets underway today (Tuesday, August 5) at the King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Gilas head coach Tim Cone made this bold declaration especially that the Philippines has not won a championship since it dominated the prestigous tournament in 1985 behind the leadership of Samboy Lim and Allan Caidic.
Now, Cone yearns to end the country’s 40-year title drought.
