The Cebu Police Provincial Office (CPPO) has a new leader.
-
In a turnover ceremony at the Camp Sergio Osmeña Sr., Cebu City last Tuesday, Police Colonel Christopher Bermudez has been officially named as the new acting CPPO director. The ceremony was led by Police Regional Office (PRO) 7 Director Redrico Maranan.
He replaced former Police Colonel Jovito Atanacio, whose stint as CPPO acting chief lasted for six months and 10 days. He has been reassigned as the new provincial director in Palawan.
Atanacio also attended the event to formally turn over his responsibilities to the incoming provincial director.
As the successor of the post, Bermudez assured the police personnel that the CPPO will continue to build upon the accomplishments from the previous administration and in line with the five-minute response time directive of the Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Police General Nicolas Torre III.
Bermudez also added that under his leadership, he vowed to lead a police force that is aggressive, committed, and fully compliant in their campaign against criminalities and toward public safety.
