Danao mayor backs LMP-Cebu's call for transparency in flood control deals

Danao City Mayor Ramonito “Nito” Durano III has expressed full support for the call of Cebu town mayors for transparency and accountability in flood control projects.

In an official statement issued on August 25, Durano said that, while Danao City is not part of the League of Municipalities of the Philippines (LMP) Cebu Chapter, it supports the declaration of the 49 local chief executives released on August 23, which demands transparency in all infrastructure projects.
“Danao City remains committed to the principles of good governance, upholding transparency, ensuring accountability, and delivering projects that are aboveboard and truly beneficial to our people,” Durano said in his official statement shared to the media.
“Good governance is not only something we endorse in words but a practice we strive to live by every day,” the mayor said.
