Cash reward hiked to P500K for info on cop gunmen

A total of P500,000 monetary reward will be given for anyone who can provide information leading to the capture of the suspects behind the killing of Police Captain Joel Deiparine.

This was confirmed by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) yesterday, October 28, after an additional P300,000 reward money was added courtesy of anonymous concerned stakeholders.
Last October 26, the Police Regional Office 7 had initially dangled P100,000 cash reward to expedite the arrest of the gunmen who killed their comrade.
The following day on October 27, the Cebu City government, through Mayor Nestor Archival, committed to double the reward, while condemning the incident that led to the death of the police officer while on duty.
