The impact of the strong Western Disturbance (WD) passing through North India is likely to extend to Gujarat.

The Meteorological Department has predicted rain in some districts of Saurashtra and North Gujarat. With the forecast of heavy rains in the middle of winter, a drop in temperature has also been predicted in Gujarat for two days.

Unseasonal rain drenched various rural areas including Porbandar in Saurashtra. The weather has been cloudy since early Wednesday morning. Drizzle has also been recorded in Dwarka, Kalyanpur and surrounding villages. Due to this unseasonal rain, farmers are worried, alt hough some areas have also expe ri enced a cool atmosphere. There is a fear of damage to crops including gram and cumin.
