Seaplanes to boost AP tourism
The Free Press Journal
|October 30, 2024
Andhra Pradesh is set to make waves in the transportation sector with the launch of seaplane services on the picturesque Krishna River.
-
This ambitious project, spear-headed by the state government, aims to transform travel and tourism in the region, by gearing up to launch seaplane services on November 9, initially connecting Vijayawada to Srisailam.
In 2018, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu even took a test flight on a seaplane on the Krishna River, showcasing the state's commitment to innovative transportation solutions. However, the project was shelved by the previous government upon taking reins in 2019.
