Om Birla says investigation on

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on Monday said an investigation had been initiated against Trinamool Congress MP Kirti Azad for allegedly smoking an e-cigarette inside the Parliament and that disciplinary action will be taken as per the rules.
Speaking at a press conference, Birla, while referring to the complaint filed against Azad by former union minister and BJP MP Anurag Thakur, said, "the process of investigation was being being completed" and assured that thereafter the matter would be referred to a committee.
He urged all the members to adhere to the norms of good conduct. "It is a responsibility. You will have to maintain decorum inside the House and the one who does not maintain decorum will be punished under the rules and procedures of the Parliament.
