Depression!Nowadays, this word has become both common and increasingly relevant. Individuals of all ages—from 12-year-old children to the elderly—can fall victim to it.

Depression affects anyone, regardless of gender or age, and involves persistent sadness and dejection. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), depression is a common mental disorder affecting 264 million people globally. By 2030, it is expected to become one of the leading causes of death. Unlike temporary sadness, depression is a real illness that requires attention.The most visible impact today is among students, which is alarming. Changes in mood and behavior may signal suicidal tendencies. Students may become withdrawn, lose self-esteem, neglect hygiene, and lose interest in studies. Common causes include the inability to form or the loss of close relationships, and family issues such as separation, divorce, or parental death.
