Heavy rains flood 92 villages in Dharashiv

Heavy rains over the past three days have triggered floods in Bhum and Paranda talukas of Dharashiv district, affecting 92 villages and disrupting communication.
-
Officials said farmers have suffered crop losses across 62,989 hectares of land.
Relief operations are being carried out by the Indian Army, National Disaster Relief Force (NDRF) and State Disaster Relief Force (SDRF) using helicopters and boats. So far, 65 people have been rescued by helicopter, including 12 from Lakhi, 13 from Ruie and 26 from Wadner-Deogaon.
