Reacting to the BJP’s protest over the proposed tunnel road in Lalbagh, Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar on Sunday asserted that the project is for the public and not a personal agenda, urging opposition leaders to provide constructive suggestions instead of merely criticizing.

Clarifying the state government’s stance on the Lalbagh tunnel road project, Shivakumar told reporters that the state government is fully aware of the park’s history and its usage.

“We have done all sorts of studies on the tunnel road. I am not a fool to destroy Lalbagh. I know its history and what is being used and what is not,” he said.
