State’s ₹15,000 cr push for GCC, animation & gaming industries

JOB PUSH | The five-yr policy (2025-30) will need expenditure of ¥2,960 cr for the first phase and later %8,472 cr for the next 10 yrs; state to promote research
Taking advantage of the global scenario in Global Capacity Centres (GCC) and the sectors of animation, visual effects, gaming, comics, and extended reality (AVGC-XR), the state will spend around Rs15,000 crore to create 9 lakh jobs in the near future.
The government on Monday released _ policy details for both sectors, committing to state support through financial and non-financial incentives.
The government resolves to set up 400 GCCs_ in Maharashtra, where 4 lakh high-skilled jobs are expected by combining industry-based jobs, and to encourage the latest research, advanced digital, and technical skills.
