In Lucknow, Samajwadi Party President and former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav levelled serious allegations against the BJP government over the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.
He claimed that the ruling government is using the SIR process to hide its failures by enabling large-scale voter deletions. Yadav appealed to the public to ensure their voter registrations are updated, warning that losing the right to vote could jeopardise reservation and other constitutional protections.
