MP Wadiyar opposes proposed flyovers in Mysuru

Mysuru MP Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar on Wednesday opposed the construction of two proposed flyovers in the city.

Speaking to reporters at a press conference, he said the state government has planned to construct flyovers on Vinoba Road and JLB Road in Mysuru. Officials have already conducted soil testing and are preparing a Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the projects. The MP stated that the proposed flyovers would not only hurt the city’s heritage value but also lead to the cutting of several fully grown trees along the stretches. He alleged that the government decided to build these flyovers without holding public consultations or inviting objections from the public
