Mithi scam: 2 more contractors arrested

The Mumbai police's Economic Offences Wing (EOW) on Wednesday arrested two more contractors in the alleged Rs65-crore Mithi river desilting scam.

The accused have been identified as Sunil Shyamnaryan Upadhyay, director of SNB Infrastructure Pvt Ltd, and Mahesh Medaram Purohit, partner of MB Brothers. With these arrests, the number of accused taken into custody has now risen to five.
