CM alleges BJP as a party is ‘expert in vote theft’

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Saturday accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of “destroying all constitutional and independent institutions” and reducing them, including the Election Commission, to subordinates of the Union government.

He also described the BJP as “expert in vote theft,” alleging that the party had come to power at the Centre and in several states through such means.

Addressing a joint press conference with Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president and Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar, the Chief Minister announced that the Congress had gathered more than 1.12 crore signatures in Karnataka as part of its campaign against “vote theft.”
