Residents of Pimple Saudagar faced traffic chaos and noise on Sunday night when a group held a grand Ganesh visarjan procession after permitted hours, using a convoy of premium vehicles with loud sound systems.
Police said the unauthorized procession, which began around 9 pm, caused severe congestion in the upscale locality. The convoy of more than 10 vehicles moved from Kunal Icon Road through Shivar Chowk and Jagtap Dairy Chowk using the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) route, stopping frequently for dancing.
