Lawyer renews claim of police plot
The Free Press Journal - Indore
|December 09, 2025
Allegations of a plot behind the prosecution of actor Dileep resurfaced after his advocate B Raman Pillai repeated claims that the investigation team had worked with other accused to implicate the actor in the 2017 assault case
The advocate said the judgment underscored the absence of credible evidence linking the actor to the conspiracy alleged by the prosecution. His comments mirrored the tone set by Dileep as he emerged from the court, stating that what unfolded over the years was the product of coercion, manipulation, and deliberate targeting by individuals within the investigating machinery. Dileep described the verdict as an affirmation of truth, arguing that the prosecution's case had been built on what he called distorted narratives and unsupported claims.
