GHMC removes over 2,000 tonnes of waste in four-day sanitation drive

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) successfully cleared 2,040 metric tonnes of waste in a four-day special sanitation drive, removing 1,524.5 metric tonnes of municipal garbage and 515.5 metric tonnes of construction debris.

The drive spanned 979 colonies across 150 divisions, deploying 335 vehicles for municipal waste collection and 67 vehicles for construction debris removal. Major areas including LB Nagar, Charminar, Khairatabad, Sherilingampally, Kukatpally, and Secunderabad reported efficient waste clearance.
