Belagavi session tensions rise as MES, Shiv Sena activists detained

The Winter Session of the Karnataka Legislature commenced today in Belagavi, but the opening day was marred by high drama and increased tensions along the Karnataka-Maharashtra border, sparked by anti-Kannada protests led by the MES (Maharashtra Ekikaran Samiti) and Shiv Sena leaders.
