Nilgiris scientist keeps global research elite status

A researcher based in the Nilgiris region, Ashokkumar Veeramuth u, has for the third consecutive year earned a place on the esteemed list of the world’s top scientists compiled by Stanford University in collaboration with — Elsevier-Publishers.
The recognition, covering the years 2023, 2024 and 2025, spotlights his sustained contribution in fields of human health and environmental protection.
Veeramuthu currently serves as Professor and Head at the Centre for Waste Management and Renewable Energy at Saveetha-Institute of Medical-andTechni calSciences. He also holds visiting positions at international institutions including Chulalongkorn Univer sity in Thailand and Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, as well as at prominent Korean universities.
