Death of man: Koppal court fines auto owner Rs 1.41 cr for allowing minor to drive vehicle

A senior civil court here has imposed a penalty of Rs 1.41 crore on an autorickshaw owner who allowed an underage driver to drive the vehicle causing the death of a man and leaving several others seriously injured.
The incident, which took place in 2021 in Yalaburga, left Rajasekhar Ayyana Gowda from Gangavati's Jayanagar area critically injured, ultimately leading to his death. This case was brought to court by the deceased's wife, Channamma, and others, seeking compensation.
