Student suicides in India remain a pressing issue, with reports showing no signs of abating.

In January 2025 alone, four students in Kota, India's "coaching capital," took their own lives, adding to the 17 cases reported in 2024. According to the NCRB, 13,044 of the 1,70,924 suicides in 2022 were by students, a 4.2% increase from 2021, with most victims aged between 16 and 21.
