Who Am I? – Exploring identity beyond body, mind, and ego

Since childhood, we have been conditioned to answer the question "Who are you?" with a name, a profession, or a relationship.

We identify ourselves as doctors, teachers, artists, parents, or children. Some define themselves by achievements, wealth, or social status, while others by nationality, religion, or community. But are these identities our true self, or are they just labels attached to us by the world?

The question "Who am I?" is not just philosophical—it is the essence of spiritual inquiry. To ask this question sincerely is to begin the journey inward. On the surface, we may believe we are the body, the mind, or the ego. But when we look deeper, we realize these are only temporary aspects of our existence, not our eternal identity.

Beyond the BodyMost of us live believing we are the body. We spend much of our time caring for it—feeding it, clothing it, decorating it, and keeping it healthy. Yet, the truth is that the body is constantly changing. The body you had as a child is not the same as the one you have today. Cells die and regenerate, bones grow and weaken, and eventually, the body ages and perishes.
