Tributes pour in from across India for veteran actor Kota Srinivasa Rao

Born on July 10, 1942, in Kankipadu village, near Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh, Rao made his cinematic debut in 1978 with Pranam Khareedu. His powerful performances and dialogue delivery soon made him a household name.
The Indian film industry is in mourning after the passing of iconic Telugu actor and former MLA Kota Srinivasa Rao, who died early Sunday morning in Hyderabad at the age of 83. He had been undergoing treatment for a prolonged illness.
