Telangana on high alert as IMD predicts heavy rains

With the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasting heavy to very heavy rains across Telangana over the next two days, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has placed the state administration on high alert.
He directed officials of all departments to closely monitor the flood situation and ensure swift precautionary measures.
The Chief Minister stressed that District Collectors must conduct regular reviews in rain-affected areas. He instructed that residents of low-lying and flood-prone localities be evacuated in advance and shifted to relief camps to avert untoward incidents.
He also ordered traffic to be halted on inundated roads and directed that the safety of causeways and bridges be thoroughly examined before use.
