Supreme Court summons MP Law Secretary: 'We admire courage of Madhya Pradesh state in filing petitions with 300/400 days' delay'

The Supreme Court in the case the State Of Madhya Pradesh And Ors Versus Gokulchand And Anr observed and has directed the Law Secretary of the State to be present to explain who was the authority behind deciding to file the case.
The bench comprising of Justice Pardiwala and Justice Mahadevan was hearing the present matter.
The bench in the case was hearing the petition filed by the State Government wherein challenging the order of the MP High Court which dismissed its second appeal due to a gross delay of 656 days in filing. Before the High Court, the State was not able to justify the reason for such a delay, the second appeal under section 100 of the Code of Civil Procedure, CPC was rejected.
The State approached the Supreme Court filing a Special Leave Petition against the High Court's order.
