'Robber mentality': Rajnath hits back at Asim Munir

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday said that Pakistan Army Chief General Asim Munir's recent remarks comparing India's economy to a luxury car and Pakistan's to a dump truck amounted to an admission of failure and reflected the "robber mentality" of the neighbouring country.
Speaking at The Economic Times World Leaders' Forum 2025 in New Delhi, Singh said Munir's analogy backfired, as critics worldwide questioned why two nations that gained independence at the same time had such contrasting trajectories. "India built a Ferrari-like economy through hard work and foresight, while Pakistan remains a dumper truck — this is their own failure," he said.
