The Gita, a profound conversation between Lord Krishna and Pandu Putra Arjuna on the battlefield of Kurukshetra, offers deep insights on life's principles, dharma (righteousness), karma (action), niswarth (self-lessness), and moksha (liberation).
The Gita, part of the ancient epic Mahabharata, was written by Ved Vyasa, a revered Hindu sage.
On the other hand, composed by the Vaishnava poet-saint Tulsidas, Shri Ramcharitmanas or Tulsidas Ramayana narrates the life and values of Lord Ram.
Through the journey of Lord Ram, Mata Sita, and Lakshman, Shri Ramcharitmanas imparts valuable lessons on compassion, equality, selflessness, sacrifice, and the triumph of good over evil.
"Reflections of Ram Sewak: A Sangam of the Gita and Shri Ramcharitramanas" by Anirudh Tewari explores the teachings and philosophies of these two sacred texts.
Drawing on the author's extensive experience in public service and spiritual journey, the 54 insightful musings of the book emphasize the role of ancient teachings in modern life.
