Preparations on for J&K Assembly elections: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced on Thursday that preparations for assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir have begun, and the Union Territory will regain its statehood.
Addressing an event in Srinagar, where he laid the foundation stone and inaugurated 84 developmental projects worth Rs 1,500 crore, Modi emphasized the central government’s commitment to addressing recent terror attacks and ensuring security in the region.
“The central government has taken the recent terror attacks in the Union Territory very seriously. The enemies of Jammu and Kashmir will be given a befitting reply,” the Prime Minister declared.
He praised the youth of Jammu and Kashmir for their high turnout in the recently concluded Lok Sabha polls, highlighting their role in strengthening democracy.
