Kharge's Maha Kumbh remark 'does not fit decorum of House'

The Congress, it appears, is making mistakes by politicising the Mahakumbh stampede.

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge made an unnecessary comment on the Maha Kumbh bath and later claimed that thousands died during the event in the budget session. His statements, both inside and outside Parliament, seem disconnected from the reality.

Kharge's remarks on the Maha Kumbh stampede do not fit the decorum of the House. It is surprising to hear them from Kharge, who has been in politics for over 50 years. Similarly, SP leader Jaya Bachchan also made controversial remarks, claiming that bodies were thrown into the Ganges during the Kumbh. Jaya Bachchan seems to be stoking controversy for political gain, particularly to heat up politics in Uttar Pradesh. By making such statements, leaders like Kharge and Jaya Bachchan are disrespecting Hindu faith in the age of social media, where the truth is quickly revealed.
