Family demands justice as IPS Y Puran Kumar's postmortem delayed

Six days after the tragic suicide of Haryana IPS officer Y Puran Kumar, his postmortem has still not been conducted, leaving the family and community demanding justice.

On Sunday, a grand assembly (Mahapanchayat) was held at Guru Ravidas Gurudwara in Sector 20, Chandigarh, where a controversy erupted over a statement by former MP Rajkumar Saini, who called Maharshi Valmiki a Brahmin, sparking unrest among attendees. The Mahapanchayat issued a 48hour ultimatum demanding the removal of Haryana DGP Shatrughan Kapoor, warning of widespread protests if ignored.
