India alliance fractures over Constitution Amendment Bill, BJP pushes it hard
Cracks in India alliance are clearly visible over the law that is being made to make the Prime Minister, Chief Minister and Minister who are sentenced to one month in jail immediately resign. BJP has also started trying to corner the opposition by making this law an issue. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah have termed the 130th Constitution Amendment Bill as correct and have attacked the Congress and the opposition fiercely, indicating that it will become a big election issue.
