Delhi Police have registered an FIR over the alleged spread of misinformation claiming that government school teachers

‘The Delhi Police have registered an FIR over the alleged spread of misinformation claiming that government school teachers were asked to count stray dogs on school premises, sparking a political slugfest between the BJP-led Delhi government and the opposition Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).

The case was filed by the Delhi Police Special Cell after the Directorate of Education (DoE) approached the Civil Lines police station, alleging that “false, misleading and malicious” content was being circulated on social and digital media. Officials said the matter is being probed by the Intelligence Fusion and Strategic Operations (IFSO) Unit.
