IEB Matrics Shine With 98.47% Pass

Tops: Dainfern Achieves 100% For 23rd Year

The Independent Examinations Board (IEB) has achieved an overall pass rate of 98.47% in the 2024 National Senior Certificate (NSC) examinations. It is the highest pass rate recorded in the past five years.

Of the Class of 2024, 89.37% achieved entry to degree study, compared with 88.59% in 2023, while 7.56% qualified for entry to diploma study.

Of those who wrote the exam, 1.53% achieved entry for study at higher certificate level, compared with 1.57% in 2023, and 0.02% achieved an endorsed certificate.

Dainfern College achieved a 100% pass for the 23rd year, 100% access to tertiary studies and 98.2% bachelor's degree pass, 56 out of 57 pupils qualified for university entrance.
