DRAW: AWAY WIN OVER MC ALGER ENOUGH AFTER GOALLESS STALEMATE

Orlando Pirates were held to a 0-0 draw by MC Alger in the second leg of the CAF Champions League quarterfinal at the Orlando Stadium last night.

The draw was enough for the Buccaneers to book their place in the semifinals of the competition where they will meet Pyramids FC of Egypt.

Pirates qualified for the last four on a 1-0 aggregate having beaten MC Alger away in the first leg last Friday.

Even though the visitors dominated possession from the start, with the hosts ready to bounce on the counter-attack using the speed of Mohau Nkota and Relebohile Mofokeng up-front. However, both teams struggled to create clear-cut chances in the opening exchanges.

Deon Hotto came close to opening the scoring for the Buccaneers in the 10th minute, but his powerful shot went narrowly wide of goal.
