But by Jove, a lot can happen on a calendar less ordinary.

And here, at the southern tip of Africa, there is no such thing as mundane. Add to that the noise of social media and the crazy global cauldron, and life has never been more exciting, or weighty.

The month started with a trip to the south coast of KwaZulu-Natal where a woman, who lies with a straight face, has been allegedly offing seniors who suffer from dementia and are dependent on South African Social Security Agency grants. The latter, she pockets, and according to one of the folk living at this woman's establishment, she once left a deceased resident's body in a morgue for over a month, just to get his pension cheque.
