ELIEZER Mayenda has reflected on his season so far as he aims to spearhead Sunderland's bid to reach the Championship play-off final and beyond.

The striker has taken over the slot as the Black Cats No 1 hitman after Wilson Isidor's dramatic tail-off in form having not scored in his last 13 matches.

As the build-up continues to such a big game - with the trip to Coventry City on Friday for the semi-final first leg - Mayenda said: "This season has been a really good one for me personally. I've made a strong contribution to the team, but it's always been a collective effort.
