Time to put an impressive record to test at Chelmsford

Michael Bell, Time Tested's trainer

In 13 runs to date for Michael Bell, he has finished in the first four on nine occasions, with a 50 per cent strike-rate on artificial surfaces and his unblemished record at this track making him of particular interest again.

The four-year-old was last seen at the Essex venue at the end of October, finishing is race in fine style to prevail by just under two lengths off a mark of 72, having scored off 4lb lower on his only previous visit.

The form has not worked out brilliantly but one of those that finished in behind has won twice since and a 4lb rise does not look insurmountable for a horse that generally runs well off a short break.
