Super summer of family events

HI Sunshine News readers, We hope everybody is well despite the sudden change in weather! However, the rain hasn’t stopped us from having fun with our families as on Monday we headed to Kingston Park Stadium for a morning of multi-skilled games with Newcastle Rugby Foundation.

Our families got to take part in a range of activities that developed throwing, catching and tagging skills, which not only got them burning energy, but also allowed them to play with other kids, and introduce them to rugby as a sport.

The session was led by the brilliant team at Newcastle Rugby Foundation, who made sure every child got involved, and the activities met a range of different needs. The foundation were engaging and made the session fun.

As well as playing games, families received goody bags containing merch from the Newcastle Redbulls (formally Falcons), and they got to sit in the stadium and watch the players training.
