QUESTIONS over the future of Sunderland left-back Dennis Cirkin are being raised, with recent links to Tottenham Hotspur taking focus as he enters the final year of his contract.

A recent report from Football Insider and transfer journalist Pete O’Rourke has raised questions about the 23-year-old’s future beyond this season.

The suggestion is that Cirkin, who signed for Sunderland as an academy player from Tottenham back in 2021, could look to leave at the end of his current contract, and his former club could be the next destination.

"He's in the final year of his contract at Sunderland, and it remains to be seen if he will sign a new deal at the Stadium of Light," O'Rourke told Football Insider.
