Police appeal after PO robbery

POLICE are investigating after an armed robbery at a post office in South Shields.

Just before 2pm on Sunday, it was reported that a man entered the post office on Wenlock Road.
He was believed to be armed with a bladed article and demanded cash from the till. He then seized a quantity of cash from the till before fleeing the scene.
