Man used aerosol can as a flame-thrower against police officer

A MAN who used an aerosol can to spray flames towards a police officer has been locked up.
Kane Sams
Kane Sams barricaded himself inside his room at a property he was staying at and prevented staff from entering.
Newcastle Crown Court heard the 35-year-old threw various items at a member of staff who was able to get through on October 7 this year.
The man left the room immediately and called the police.
Estelle Chambers, prosecuting, told the court how the man believed Sams was intoxicated and feared for his safety.
