Magpies still have eyes on Guehi

NEWCASTLE United have not given up on signing Marc Guehi in either of the next two windows - with the England centre-back almost certain to leave Crystal Palace in 2026.

New sporting director Ross Wilson will want to hit the ground running with a big-name signing and a review of the Guehi situation may be on the cards.

The Chronicle understands that Newcastle have continued to monitor Guehi in the aftermath of his failed move to Liverpool on deadline day. It is believed Newcastle have had scouts in the stands to see how Guehi has reacted since not getting a move to Liverpool. The Reds are still believed to be keen on the 25-year-old who rose to fame at Euro 2024 with some excellent displays under Gareth Southgate as England reached the final showpiece in Berlin.
